Actively respond to the challenge of global extreme climate! Chinese photovoltaic people will meet again to discuss the green development plan

The source of the Thames River has dried up, the Rhine River is facing navigation interruption, and the 40 billion tons of glaciers in the Arctic are melting! Since the beginning of summer this year, extreme weather such as high temperature, heavy rain, floods and hurricanes have occurred frequently. High temperature heat wave events have occurred in many places in the northern hemisphere. Many cities in France, Spain, Britain, the United States and Japan have set new high temperature records. Europe even “sounded the alarm” or suffered the worst drought in 500 years. Looking at China, according to the monitoring and assessment of the National Climate Center, the regional high-temperature heat wave event since June 13 has covered an area of more than 5 million square kilometers and affected more than 900 million people. The comprehensive intensity has now ranked the third since 1961. At the same time, the unprecedented high temperature has aggravated the global food crisis.

Carbon emissions are a major cause of global warming. The latest report released by the United Nations Environment Programme shows that more than 120 countries and regions have made carbon neutral commitments. The key to achieving carbon neutrality lies in electrification and ensuring that most of the electricity comes from zero carbon resources. As an important clean energy, photovoltaic will become the absolute main force of carbon neutralization.

09383683210362In order to achieve the “double carbon” goal, countries around the world, including China, are continuously promoting the adjustment of industrial structure and energy structure, and vigorously developing renewable energy such as photovoltaic. China is the global market leader of wind energy and solar energy. German media recently reported that without China, the development of German solar energy industry would be “unimaginable”.

At present, China has formed a photovoltaic system capacity of about 250gw. The annual power generated by its products is equivalent to the equivalent energy output of 290 million tons of crude oil, while the consumption of 290 million tons of crude oil generates about 900 million tons of carbon emissions, and the production of 250gw photovoltaic system generates about 43 million tons of carbon emissions. That is to say, for every 1 ton of carbon emissions generated by the manufacturing photovoltaic system, more than 20 tons of carbon emissions will be reduced each year after the power generation of the system, and more than 500 tons of carbon emissions will be reduced throughout the life cycle.

09395824210362Reducing carbon emissions has a vital bearing on the fate of every country, city, enterprise and even everyone. From August 25 to 26, the 2022 Fifth China International Photovoltaic Industry Summit Forum with the theme of “anchoring double carbon goals and enabling a green future” will be grandly held in Chengdu Tongwei International Center. As a grand event dedicated to exploring a new path of green transformation and high-quality development, the forum brings together government leaders at all levels, authoritative experts and scholars, and leaders of leading enterprises. It will focus on the photovoltaic industry from multiple perspectives, deeply analyze and discuss the difficulties and trends in industrial development, join hands with the goal of “double carbon” and actively respond to the increasingly severe climate challenge.

09401118210362The China International Photovoltaic Industry Summit Forum has become the epitome of China’s vigorous promotion of the “double carbon” strategy. In terms of photovoltaic clean energy development, China’s photovoltaic industry has achieved remarkable results. For many years, China has maintained a world leading position in the scale of photovoltaic applications, the upgrading of photovoltaic technology and the shipment of photovoltaic products. Photovoltaic power generation has become the most economical power generation mode in many countries and regions around the world, from “insignificant” to “decisive”, and from “auxiliary” of energy supply to “main force”.

09410117210362The green and sustainable development of renewable energy has a bearing on the future and destiny of the whole mankind and the earth. The frequent occurrence of extreme weather makes this task more urgent and necessary. Under the guidance of the “double carbon” goal, China’s photovoltaic people will actively gather wisdom and strength to jointly seek green development, jointly help energy transformation and upgrading, and strive to promote global sustainable development.

2022 the Fifth China International Photovoltaic Industry Summit Forum, let’s look forward to it!
